Airbus Industrie is a
consortium of European aviation firms formed during 1967 when the British, French and
German governments signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop the
Airbus A300 airliner. Airbus and Boeing currently dominate
the Worlds airliner production, the largest airliner in production for
many decades was the "Jumbo" Boeing 747 series but now the new
Airbus A380, due to enter service in 2007 is even larger!
The Airbus A319 is a twin
engine, single aisle airliner based on the existing A320 but shortened by 3.77m,
it can seat from between 200 and 280 passengers, the Airbus A319 made it's
first
flight on the 25th of August 1995.

about BMI British Midland
BMI was created in 1938 as "Air
Schools Ltd", during 1964, it had it's name changed to British Midland Airways
(BMA) and in February 2001 British Midland Airways joined the Star Alliance
and re-named it's self bmi british midland following a 30% acquisition
of the company by Lufthansa. BMI's mixed airliner fleet consists of Boeing,
Airbus and Embraer passenger aircraft.
