Boeing was incorporated in
Washington by William E. Boeing on 15th of July 1916, as “Pacific Aero
Products Co.”, it was re-named the “Boeing Airplane Company” the following
year. Today Boeing is the Worlds largest airliner manufacturer, only
Europe's Airbus is now a significant and major competitor.
The Boeing 767 airliner was launched
during
1978, primarily as a replacement for the successful but old Boeing 707,
it's almost a wide-body jet variant of the Boeing 757 airliner which was
introduced about the same time. The Boeing 767-300/ER series are a
lengthened 200 series 767 airliner combined with an "extended-range"
(11,305 km), they were introduced into service during 1988.

"Imperial Airways" during 1924 by the merger of Instone, Handley Page,
Daimler Airways and British Air Marine Navigation. In 1939 the British
government decided to nationalise Imperial Airways and British Airways and named the
resultant company British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC). In 1972
BOAC and BEA were combined to create British Airways, the UK's national
airline. In 1987 British Airways was privatised.
