Boeing was created by William E. Boeing on 15th of July 1916, as “Pacific Aero
Products Co.” and was re-named the “Boeing Airplane Company” on the 9th of
May 1917. Today Boeing is the Worlds largest airline manufacturer only Airbus
is a major competitor.
The Boeing 757 entered service
in 1983 replacing the older Boeing 727 airliner design. A total of 1,050
of 757 airliners had been produced when production ended
in 2005. The Boeing 757-200 series can carry up to 234
passengers, it is the most popular Boeing 757 airliner.
Some Boeing 757-236's have been converted into Special Freighters and are
designated Boeing 757-200/SF's Boeing 757-236/SF

British Airways was initially Founded as
"Imperial Airways" during 1924 following the merger of Instone, Handley Page,
Daimler Airways and British Air Marine Navigation. In 1939 the British
government decided to nationalise Imperial Airways and British Airways and named the
resultant company British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC). In 1972
BOAC and BEA were combined to create British Airways, the UK's national
airline, in 1987 British Airways was privatised by the UK government. In
mid 1988 BA acquired
British Caledonian, and in 1992 acquired Dan-Air making it the second
largest airline in Europe. BA operates a mixed fleet of mainly Airbus and Boeing
airliners.
