Washington by William E. Boeing on 15th of July 1916, as “Pacific Aero
Products Co.” and was re-named the “Boeing Airplane Company” on the 9th of
May 1917. Today Boeing has become the Worlds largest manufacturer of
airliners with only Airbus as significant or major competitor.

"Jumbo-Jet" entered commercial during February 1989, a freighter version four
years later, it is the only 747 series airliner in production but
