about the Fokker 50
Fokker was started by the
Dutchman Anthony Fokker in 1912, by the late 1920's Fokker was the
largest aircraft manufacture in the world.
The Fokker 50 was designed in 1983 as a replacement for the aging Fokker
F27 Friendship and first entered service in 1987, it remained in
production until 1996 when the Fokker Aircraft Company unfortunately
went into liquidation. The Fokker 50 can carry upto fifty passengers a
distance of 2000 km at a speed of 530 km/h.
